Mr. Kounoupis has been recognized as a premier employment lawyers in Pennsylvania. He has been selected as a super lawyer by his peers as published in Philadelphia Magazine, recognizing him as one of the top 5% of lawyers in the State.
Mr. Kounoupis graduated from Lehigh University (BA 1984) and the Temple University School of Law (JD, 1987 and top 12% in the class). He is also on the dean’s list. He participated in the Jessup Moot Court competition.
He is a Senior Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, The Trial LAwyer Honory Society and a member of the Trial Law Institute and Diversity Law Institute. He is also associated with the Who's Who Among Practicing Attorneys, and in Top Lawyers in America, Outstanding Young Men of America, 1987 and Who's Who in Business and Insurance Counsel.
He is also a contributing author of the Temple Law Review "A Summary of Pennsylvania Law of Legal Malpractice," and a Section author in the Bureau of National Affairs', International Labor Law Treatise.

Mr. Kounoupis has also been licensed as an attorney in Athens, Greece and therefore holds dual qualifications.
He has worked as a corporate and defense attorney for Fox, Rothschild and O'Brien & Frankel. He is a section author of the BNA and the International Labor Law Treatise. He is also a part of the National Employment Lawyers Association.
He is the co-chair of the National Origin Discrimination Committee, the American Bar Association, the Employment Rights and Responsibilities Sub-Committee.
Mr. Kounoupis is also co-chair of the Northampton County Bar Association Employment Law Committee, a founding member of the Bar Association for the Third Federal Circuit, a member of the Society for Human Resource Professionals, a member of the EEOC's Attorney Referral List and regularly receives EEOC referral of cases. Mr. Kounoupis has also been selected as a member of the "Million Dollar Advocates Forum" (membership is limited to the top and elite trial attorneys who have demonstrated exceptional advocacy skills).
Mr. Kounoupis has acted as counsel and advisor to numerous multi-national corporations and businesses and has been general counsel to public and international companies, and was general counsel for a large, public, internet company (NASDAQ) and had widely published lawsuits on internet, high-tech and software issues.
He is a member of several national and international legal committees and organizations and is also a frequent lecturer and author on employment and business matters.
Mr. Kounoupis has successfully litigated over 1,000 employment law cases and has also been sought out as counsel to numerous municipalities, banks, multinational corporations and public companies.
Mr. Kounoupis sits on numerous regional and national advisory counsels and committees. He works with various executives and CEOs of large companies as well as Deans and Presidents of Universities, prominent political and church figures.
He has been quoted and referenced in numerous newspapers, magazines and periodicals including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, C-Span, Court TV, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Morning Call, and The Philadelphia Legal Intelligencer.
Mr. Kounoupis also holds dual certificates from the Trial Lawyers College founded by pre-eminent trial attorney Gerry Spence, dedicated to training the best trial lawyers in the country.
Since 2008, Mr. Kounoupis has bee a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. The Litigation Counsel of America is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than half of one percent of American Lawyers, and serves as an honorary member of the Litigation Counsel of America's International Law Committee.
